Our Company - Glimpse Of The Past
We are passionate collectors of vintage decorative and
useful pottery and glass.
In so many ways, the modern marketplace has lost the values of craftsmanship and beauty in favor of ways
to produce the mundane for as little as possible.
Lefton porcelain objets-d'art were made for the
consumer home-decorative market, offering wonderful examples of
delicacy and form at affordable prices. This just can't be
found anymore in the big-box merchants.
Glimpse Of The Past has made a
commitment to find beautiful examples of the maker's art
that have survived the years, and offer these treasures
to the discerning collector.
A few years ago we extended this commitment by opening
a small shop in Derby, Kansas. However, we found
ourselves overwhelmed by the forces of a receding economy
and big-box merchants. We were forced to close our
dream-shop and find other ways to attract vintage
home-decor shoppers to our collection.
The result is Lefton Paradise!
